DON’T COPY/PASTE A DIET, FIND WHAT ACTUALLY WORKS FOR YOU

So your friend went on a diet and had great success, or you read in a magazine that a celebrity you like had terrific results with their diet, so you decide to try it for yourself. You did exactly what they did, you followed all the steps to the teeth, and you didn’t accomplish anything. After all your efforts and determination, nothing happened at all! You are so disappointed with yourself; you blame it on your genetics, metabolism, perhaps your age. You tell yourself, “maybe I am just not built to be who I want to be; I should accept the reality and give up on my dream body.” All these thoughts are absolutely natural if you fail on a particular lifestyle you tried, and you can’t understand why it works for others and not for you! Well, the answer is simple and, and at the same time, complex. You just got the wrong approach for your personal needs, but this doesn’t mean you can’t get your “dream body and mind( because at your healthiest, your brain is also upgraded). In fact, all you need is to figure out how your biology is working and go from there.

WHAT IS GOOD FOR YOU MIGHT BE DETRIMENTAL FOR ME

A great example would be a simple tomato. This fruit is loaded with health-protective antioxidants, such as lycopene, vitamin C, and vitamin A; it prevents cancer and many other diseases. Naturally, we can conclude everyone should consume tomatoes in abundance. In the end, we share the same DNA by the difference of only 0.1 percent. It is not that simple! Some people have a severe allergic reaction to tomatoes and the rest of the nightshades family( eggplants, tomatoes, potatoes, and papers). When an allergic reaction occurs in the body, a whole cascade of events happen, some of which might be an anti-immune response, leaky gut, inflammation, brain fog, insomnia, and so much more. When the body is undergoing such stress, you simply won’t feel your best; neither can you become the best version of yourself. This was merely one example, but it can happen with basically any food. The way we process food depends on many factors, such as epigenetics ( EPIGENETICS: YOUR ACTIONS HAVE AN IMPACT ON YOUR GENES), the state of our organs, our external and internal environment, sleep, and physical activities.

WHAT WORKS FOR YOU

If you tried many different diets/lifestyles and some were maybe successful, but you can’t get a lasting result, it doesn’t mean you are a failure; you simply failed at mimicking somebody’s else approach. Biological individuality is greatly underestimated when it comes to our health, but crucial should we desire to experience the superhero hiding inside us. Everything is possible with the proper guidance.
