THE STATE OF MIND: MENTAL HEALTH

Mental health is a topic with a rather negative connotation. It kind of implies that you somehow have a brain disorder, and you are different, but not in a positive way. So far from the truth! Indeed, nobody talked about mental health a few decades ago unless you were struggling deeply. The state of our mind is often challenged, and we all go through moments or stages of not having a perfect mindset. It’s part of life; therefore, the topic should be more often discussed and encourage people to pay close attention to what is going on up there.

SELF-TALK

What we tell ourselves matters. It can make the glass seems half empty or half full. What determines the direction of our thoughts? The way we perceive ourselves. Are we worthy of success, love or respect, self-respect, rest, luck, and treat? You might ask, who won’t like this? Many people are convinced that they don’t deserve such bliss because they see themselves as not good enough or not worthy enough. What might make a person go so wrong in his own perception of his existence? A mind that is twisted by his own experiences, surroundings, upbringing, social expectations, peer pressure, lifestyle, and food choice. The good news is that everyone can change the picture in his mind for the better should he polish all the elements from the above. It will take time and effort, but the tools are there. Life is too short to beat yourself up, punish yourself, sabotage your success, or let the past determine the future!
